Orthopaedic Conditions
Physiotherapy will usually be necessary after a fracture or orthopaedic surgery.
Often the results people get after immobilisation in a cast or after surgery on a shoulder injury or knee replacement is directly related to the quality of their rehab and physio afterwards.
Physio is needed to restore range of movement in a joint. It is necessary to strengthen the muscles that have wasted due to immobilisation and lack of use.
Your doctor will always recommend attending a chartered physio for this.
