Sports Massage is the hands-on manipulation of the muscles, connective tissue and fascia.
Sports massage is a targeted massage that involves manipulating soft tissue – skin, muscle, tendons, ligaments, and fascia – to benefit those engaged in regular and physically demanding activities.
Deep tissue massage is about the amount of pressure used. Typically adjusted from medium to deep, this therapy is used to relieve the tension and restrictions that can build up due to undertaking repetitive and strenuous activities.
There is no niche market for massage, allowing it to be geared towards everyone.
Massage can be used to benefit the patients in both a physiological and psychological sense.
The benefits of massage include;
⦁ Decreased stress
⦁ Boost the immune system
⦁ Reduced muscular tension
⦁ Improved range of movement
⦁ Increased flexibility
⦁ Improved posture
